Biking

Road Biking from Mammoth Lakes to Arcularius Ranch

Do you have Biking Experiences you'd like to share? Find out How!

  • To maximize your time on good pavement and minimize traffic, this ride is best ridden as an out-and-back. Starting from the North Village, climb Minaret Road to the Scenic Loop where you'll find perfect pavement, huge old-growth conifers, and little traffic all the way out to Highway 395. There's a short section along the highway, but the shoulders are wide and occasionally swept clean. Along Owens River Road to the east, you'll find more beautiful forest, streams and meadows, and amazing views of the San Joaquin Ridge. When the good pavement ends, return the way you came or stay on 395 to Highway 203 and the long climb back through town.
