Lake Mamie

Destination adopted by: In memory of Tim Pert • Destination maintained by: Rick Koppel

  • Set in the woods between Lake Mary and Horseshoe Lake, the smaller Lake Mamie is a popular, more protected spot for fishing, boating or simply lounging beside sub-alpine waters. There are several fine picnic sites across Lake Mary Road and the Lakes Basin Path, with views overlooking Mammoth Mountain and the spillway to Twin Lakes. Wildyrie Lodge offers rustic lodge and cabin accommodations, boat rentals, tackle and snacks in summer; visit the Local Recreation Resources page for more information. Access in winter is by ski or snowshoe only.
