Dog Sledding the A, B, K Trails Loop ◈

This moderate loop offers good, undulating terrain through meadows and open Jeffrey pine forest, close to town but away from most snowmobile traffic. Stage at the Lookout Mountain trailhead on the east side of Hwy 395 across from the Mammoth Scenic Loop. Head south on the A Trail and cross under the highway through the OHV tunnel. From here to the junction with the B Trail you may come across snowmobilers headed out from Shady Rest. But once you turn onto the B Trail, you and the dogs should have the place to yourselves. Follow this west and north to the K Trail for the loop back to tunnel.
