Shady Rest Park

  • Shady Rest Park is an extensive and popular public recreation facility carved into a forest of Jeffrey pine at the end of the Shady Rest Path and Sawmill Cutoff Road. The park offers playground equipment, a sheltered picnic area, restrooms, sand volleyball courts, softball fields, green-grass soccer fields, a concession stand, a parking area and a small "street scene" skatepark designed for all ability levels. Picnic facilities may be reserved by contacting the Town's Recreation Department; visit the Local Recreation Resources page for more information. In winter, the parking area serves as a staging point for multiple winter activities.
