Family Biking the Shady Rest Park Loop

Do you have Biking Experiences you'd like to share? Find out How!

  • This is a great lollipop-loop bike ride for beginning mountain bikers, combining a good section of gently sloping paved path and some dirt road. From Footloose Sports, follow the Town Loop through the tunnel under Hwy 203. As you pedal along the Shady Rest Path you’ll enjoy winding and gently undulating terrain through old-growth forest to Shady Rest Park. Continue on the paved path through the ball fields to the dirt road. Signage is scant out here and trail options many, but stay left at each major fork in order to work your way counter-clockwise around the park to return to the Shady Rest Path.
