Family Biking at Shady Rest

Do you have Biking Experiences you'd like to share? Find out How!

  • Begin your ride at Footloose Sports and take the Town Loop east to the tunnel under Highway 203. Turn left and follow the gently undulating paved Shady Rest Path down to Shady Rest Park. Head along the ball fields to the east end of the parking lot, where Sawmill Road cuts off downhill as a dirt road. Enjoy the descent but save plenty of energy for the climb back up. Also, make sure to take the left-hand cut-off that loops back around to Sawmill Road. Signage is limited or non-existent. If you miss it, you’ll end up at Hwy 395 and have the choice either to climb back up the way you came or to ride pavement up Hwy 203.
